Now that you have some ideas, lets begin...
Find a comfortable position, clear your mind, relax and let your thoughts and emotions flow freely.
It is important to not censor yourself as you write.  Do not worry about grammar or punctuation errors.  Put every thought onto the page.

Be Brave...Be Daring...Be Bold...Be YOU.

Wholehearted Life

Let's begin our journey

The Art of Journaling

Why do we write rather than type?  There is something artsy about pen to paper.  When we are artistic we tend to be more in touch with our emotions and are able to be authentic with our words.  The flow of the ink as it creates lines in shapes of letters in itself is art.

Getting started

You will need a notebook something that is meaningful for you.

Remember your journal is completely private and secure, unless you’d like to share your entries with others.  Sharing is a wonderful way to inspire and encourage others along the journey to self-discovery.

How can a journal help?
Self discovery - Writing consistently in a journal can give you a deeper connection with your own inner self.
Less stress - Releasing all your inner thoughts and anxieties through writing can help release unwanted stress.
Courage to pursue your passion - Knowing what you want do do with your life is the first step in making it happen. Writing it down solidifies your mission.
Understanding the past - Journaling can bring up many things in life that are still unresolved. Writing about them helps take you to a place of forgiveness and healing.  Journaling may also prompt you to seek professional help.

Greater sense of peace - Honoring inner thoughts through writing will give you a greater sense of peace and more positive outlook on your experiences in life.
Awareness - Get to know what really brings you joy in life.  Finding gratitude takes us to a level of fulfillment in our lives.

What should you write about?

What is a Vision Board?

Vision Boards are one of the most valuable visualization tools available.  The inspirational collages serve as an image of your future - a tangible example, idea or representation of where you are going. They represent your dreams, your goals, and your ideal life.

By representing your goals with pictures and images you will actually strengthen and stimulate your emotions because your mind responds strongly to visual stimulation...  your brain does not know the difference between (day)dreams/visualizations and reality.  Being creative taps into your emotions and your emotions are the vibrational energy that activates the Law of Attraction. The saying “A picture is worth a thousand words,” certainly holds true here.

Guided vision board workshops give people inspiration, being creative with others provides an avenue to make authentic connections with others and share ideas and stories. In this workshop participants clip images and words from magazines to create inspiring collages. Type your paragraph here

Examples of different kinds of journals

Writing helps clarify feeling.  Choose a topic each day, and let your mind go.  Start writing and follow your feelings.

  • Did something happen today that made you feel joy?, sadness?, anger?
  • What did you discover about yourself or the world?
  • Did you hear music that transported you to a time and place that was special for you?
  • Is there something from the past you wish you could take back or do over?
  • What are your needs? Desires?
  • What are you most afraid of?
  • What are you afraid of not doing?
  • What are you curious about?
  • What issues are unresolved for you?
  • What do you love to do?, experience?, feel?
  • What things in your life do you want to build on?
  • Find a photo or an image.  How does it make you feel?
  • If you have done the 6 human needs assessment, how have your needs been met in a positive way?
